Perfectly Roasted Pecans

Updated: Apr 13, 2021

Homemade roasted pecans are quick, delicious, and satisfying. They are ready in 10 minutes and can stand alone as a delectable finger food for when you have surprise guests or can be incorporated into salads, side dishes, and desserts.

Fresh Raw Pecans

What You'll Need

  • 1 TBS. of butter or pecan oil

  • 1 tsp. salt (I used pink Himalayan salt.)

  • 1/4 tsp. ground cayenne pepper

  • 2 cups pecan halves*

Recipe

  • Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.

  • Put butter on cookie sheet and place in oven to melt (You can melt your butter in the microwave to melt it but I choose to do it this way because I just don't want to wash another dish.)

  • Once butter is melted, add salt and cayenne pepper and mix.

  • Add pecans to butter mixture and toss to coat.

  • Bake pecans for 10 minutes or until they begin to brown.

  • Remove from oven and store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.

*I use Elliott pecan halves. They can be found here, www.thealabamapecancompany.com/shop

It doesn't get anymore easy or straightforward, unless you just eat raw pecans from the bag which honestly is a pretty great treat in it's own right.

Roasted Salted Pecans

P.S. - I've eaten half of this bowl whole writing this blog post. They're almost as addictive as potato chips.
